I've been on this site 14 years , with a 6 year break right in the middle while I dated a girl that I met on here, of all places. Has this site gone WAY downhill and become more overrun than ever with fakes, flakes and scammers? Absolutely it has. Am I personally having the best year I've ever had on here? Yes I am... Just had to lower my expectations and put in a little more time and effort. I can usually expect one or two responses to every 20 messages sent. Of those, maybe one or two out of every 10 turn into an ongoing fun online friendship. I wish I could say 8 out of 10..... but for every person who sticks around and proves to be consistent, there's at least 3 or 4 who are all "you are SO fun to talk to... You're SO funny... you're not pushy like most guys on here... let's meet up" - and then they won't even acknowledge another message. Yeah, I don't get it either. Anyway, of the ones that do continue the conversation, I probably meet up with one or two out of every 10 of those. Add it up and...yeah, I end up meeting one out of about every 70-80 women I reach out to. Or look at it this way. Most women I've talked to say they average about 75 messages received per day. Of course they're almost all unsolicited - you think women have time to send first messages when they're getting that many messages and constantly clearing their inbox? Let's just say 40 a day - that's 1,200 per month. I get about 20.... No, not 20 a day. Or a month. Or a year ..... I've maybe gotten a TOTAL of maybe 20-25 "first messages" in the entire 8 years I've been active on here. So like 2 or 3 per year. compared to literally thousands a year for you ladies, Starting to get it now? It's really two entirely different experiences... Lost a ton of weight and quit smoking a few years ago and I'm having the time of my fucking life. Pervert. Educated. Independent. Funny. Horny. Spontaneous. Loyal. Unhurried. Steady. If you're looking for some bullshit Hollywood/50 Shades of Gay "domination" scenario, we probably already don't get each other. But if you appreciate not having to take any initiative, make any decisions or solve any problems for a few hours, and prefer to spend that time enjoying a nice cocktail and then being pushed right to the upper boundaries of your limits, we'll get along fine.
